After collaborating with many talented artists such as Doja Cat, Rudimental, Clean Bandit and Sean Paul, and James Arthur, Anne Marie now returns with new music, teaming up with rapper KSI on their new single ‘Don’t Play‘.
Produced by Digital Farm Animals, previously known from their music in KSI’s collaboration with Craig David on ‘Really Love‘, Anne Marie’s and KSI’s new single is full of strength, fire and a high-tempo, which is the type of song you would hear if you are partying, or need that extra energy to help you progress through your day.
Along with the upbeat tempo, Anne Marie and KSI says it from a realistic perspective of love and heartbreak, repeating how don’t play games with their heart, and it brings a mantra inside people’s minds on how you shouldn’t let anyone fool you in love.
As well as releasing a single, both the pair also unveil a music video showcasing Anne Marie being bullied by a group of schoolgirls. However, she fights back by persevering in a boxing club to be the strongest she can be. It shows a theme of adversity to convey the message to people if you work hard, you will achieve great things.
While Anne Marie has released new music, she is also a judge for the tenth series of The Voice UK alongside Olly Murs, Sir Tom Jones and Will I.A.M, which you can watch on BBC One every Saturday at 8 pm.
