Steps 'What the Future Holds'

Steps Are Back With Their New Album ‘What The Future Holds’

After breaking up in 2001, Steps have now made another comeback in 2020, the first return was in 2017. Now with returning to music again, they have recently released their sixth studio album, What The Future Holds, this is since their album, Tears On The DanceFloor, in 2017.

This album is filled, with a Steps distinct sound of electro-pop that is upbeat and anthems that you would find listening to on the dancefloor. Now that Steps are creating music in 2020, we can now enjoy their unique, rhythmical 90s sound that we have always loved.

The all-new album consists of thirteen tracks which describe the feelings of excitement and predictions of what is around the corner for the band, and they try to contemplate ‘What The Future Holds‘. While singing about the future, they fill messages of hope and joy, which is an uplifting album we need to power us through 2020. ‘One foot in the past, and one foot in the future. I need to take a class on staying right here with you. I’m drowning in my history. Prisoner of past defeats. Tell me what the future holds. Tell me, baby (Oh)’.

Not only the uptempo songs that, are produced within the album, songs such as ‘Hold My Heart‘ and ‘Don’t leave Us Halfway‘ use a peaceful musical sound which describes the love they have in their hearts and how they have trust within each other. In the album, they explain how they are ready for a new era of their band.
