Rising Girl Band Triple Charm Talks To InCeleb About Their New Music Release And Life In Lockdown

During the Summer, we had the chance to chat with the upcoming girl-band that goes by the name Triple Charm. We talked to the three sisters of Triple Charm and how they began as artists and what they have been up to during this crazy lockdown period.

For those who don’t know Triple Charm, could you tell us about yourselves individually and also about yourself as a group?

The sisters of Triple Charm, 16-year-old Amalia, 14-year-old Raena, and 11-year-old Gabriella

I’m Amalia and, I’m 16 years old, I’m Raena, I’m 14 years old and I’m Gabriella, I’m 11 and, we’re Triple Charm. We are all three sisters and just released our latest single and music video called “Rally Up!

So the question of the year, how was lockdown for you all?

Quarantine has been an interesting and different time than we’ve ever experienced in our lives. We had a lot of time on our hands to really just create. We’ve been able to write music, film and create a ton of content and work on our craft. So, the lockdown has actually been super productive and beneficial for us, especially when it comes to building our audience online!

Did lockdown motivate and inspire you to create music or did you feel less motivated?

At first, we felt like everyone went through a sort of learning curve in getting used to what was the new norm. It was definitely challenging to be in lockdown since we were so used to being on the go and travelling all the time. We were actually scheduled to go on a national tour and that got postponed due to covid, which felt like a set back at the time. After that happened, we really became motivated to use this time to grow our social media following on TikTok and Instagram. We were also inspired to write new music, one song in specific, that captured how we felt during this time, and hope to release it in the future.

When was the first time you all realized that you wanted to make music together?

We all three grew up dancing so music has always been such a huge part of our lives. Amalia started singing when she was about six years old and she sort of inspired us to start singing two years ago. We all three love to sing and perform and we knew that it would be even more amazing to be able to do it together. That’s how Triple Charm got started and since then we’ve had so much fun working together and doing what we love.

So you all are very talented singers, would you ever consider going solo or does it feel better to be a group?

Thank you! We’ve always loved performing together, so right now we don’t have any plans to branch off as solo artists. But who knows what the future holds?

For each of you, did you always see yourself in the music industry or was there another career you had in mind?

We have always wanted to be in the entertainment industry in some form or fashion. Amalia did a lot of theatre growing up and we all three had been dancing since we were two years old. When we started singing together it became clear to us that a music career was definitely something we all wanted to pursue. We’re also interested in on-camera acting, book publishing, merchandising and makeup, along with a few other things we hope to explore in the future.

Are there any bands or artists that inspire you when creating music?

There are so many amazing artists and groups that inspire us. Meghan Trainor, Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga and Little Mix are a few of our favourites. Dua Lipa is also another artist that we’ve been really into lately.

So recently you released your empowering single called Rally Up, could you tell us what this is about?

Our new single “Rally Up,” is all about female empowerment and being unstoppable! We wanted to create an anthem that would bring girls together and make them feel like they can conquer the world. We wanted to make it danceable and upbeat with a really fierce and powerful vibe.

For Rally Up, what was the process like when writing the song?

The process of writing “Rally Up” was really fun. We started with the concept based on how we were feeling at the time. Just starting in the industry, we very quickly realized that nobody’s going to make our dreams a reality for us, we have to be the ones to do that.

So, the concept for “Rally Up” stemmed from the feeling that we aren’t going to stop trying until we reach our goals. Then, we each wrote a ton of lyrics and pulled together our ideas. After that, we shared it with our co-writers and producers, Heather Jeanette Miley and Viv Parker, who did an amazing job of helping bring our vision for the song to life.

You have also got your first ever single, Move On, released in 2019, it is also about being strong and has that powerful vibe to it, is this theme something you would like to carry on, or are you looking to broaden out your themes like with love songs?

In all the music we create, we really try to make it positive. In the two songs we’ve released “Move On,” and “Rally Up,” we wanted to focus on uplifting girls and creating a motivational feeling. In “Rally Up” we wanted to kick it up a notch and make it even more fierce and powerful. As for our future music, we’re all about positivity, and regardless of the theme, we plan to keep creating music to inspire people to be their best selves!

Finally, if you could describe your music in three words what would they be?

Pop, Motivational and Danceable!
