Pop sensation Miley Cyrus is back again with a whole new single, ‘Midnight Sky’, which was released Friday.
Miley’s new single, ‘Midnight Sky’, is a disco-themed song, it is bold, fierce and fiery, but shows an upbeat and careless free atmosphere too. Similarly, the lyrics present all the atmospheres and themes, as Miley aims the song at women who are independent and strong, and ready to move on from the previous relationships that have dragged them down.
The 27-year-old talks about her past relationships in ‘Midnight Sky’ and shares how she is not controlled by anyone, how she can do this alone, being the powerful woman she is. The song is from Miley’s personal experience about love, especially after recently breaking up with Australian singer, Cody Simpson, she is now ready to move on and find peace within herself.

I was born to run, I don’t belong to anyone, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you (By you)
Fire in my lungs, can’t bite the devil on my tongue, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you
See my lips on her mouth, everybody’s talkin’ now, baby
Ooh, you know it’s true (Yeah)
That I was born to run, I don’t belong to anyone, oh no
I don’t need to be loved by you (By you)
Midnight Sky By Miley Cyrus
While turning that pain of heartbreak into a lionheart, Miley becomes free-spirited in her new music video, her first-ever self directed music video, showing off the disco 80s style set, and being young and wild just as she is.
It displays Miley is at her own home and comfort in the music video as she is surrounded by gleaming neon lights, luminant disco balls, and colourful balloon animals. As well as this, Miley dresses in extraordinary nightlife outfits that are stylish and full of vibrancy.
In some shots, she wears her black Chanel bathing suit, with her diamond-studded gloves which looked utterly ravishing.
In other shots, Miley is seen in a black and white striped jumpsuit which is very disco-pop style.
A music video and song which portrays Miley’s inner wild personality, with a touch of glitter and glamour, in her gorgeous music video.
